There was a good a good turn out today for the Smallbore Silhouette Match with 26 guns in the match— (3 shooters shot in both Metallic sight AND Magnified sight classes so we actually had 23 SHOOTERS). I was in Alaska visiting my Daughter and Grand kids, so I’d like to extend a special thanks […]
The day was clear and hot with light winds that built and let off and changed direction. The mirage changed from clear to blurry and back again. These conditions combined to give great variability shot to shot. The great variability really didn’t make sense looking at the flags. Intense concentration was needed to keep them […]
A good turnout for a hot day. There wasn’t anything happening in the flags for the first couple of targets but light winds kicked up later in the match that caused left and right with mysterious vertical. The match ended just in time as the wind started in earnest. F/TR F Open AR Tactical Palma […]
A light turnout for a hot and smoky day. There was nothing happening in the mirage of flags but there was some movement left and right on the first string where shots bounced around the x ring. The second and third strings had shots landing in the 9 ring for no apparent reason. Barrels heated […]

The day started off a little hazy from the fires to the West. Winds were light and a little variable causing some missed targets. We had to stop firing a few times for the over flying tanker aircraft picking up water off of Pyramid lake to drop on the fires. This caused the match to […]
A lot of smoke made seeing the long targets a little challenging but a fairly pleasant day otherwise.
We had minimal/intermittent wind but near 100 degrees made the mirage something else. We had 19 shooters who braved the elements. I want to thank all that came out, especially those who put out and retrieved targets. Because of the fire danger, we chose not to shoot at the 660 and 850 Coyotes. Interesting note, even […]
The day started with no wind and everyone had one good target before things change. The winds were light, 5 mph±, and variable with the key being variable. It kept dropping off then building back to what it was before accompanied with angle changes. Changes could be seen, but how much it was worth was […]
