I reloaded back in the 70s and 80s and have since sold my rock chucker press. I got back into shooting rifles and pistols and now looking for a new reloading press. What press would you guys recommend for reloading 223, 17 Hornet, 9 and 40 caliber pistol? Duke

    Hey Duke,

I single load on a Forster. I like it because it’s so clean to use. It captures primers when resizing through the bottom into a cup and it has a universal shell holder so you don’t need to buy case specific shell holders.

Ben thanks for the response. There are a lot more reloads now than in the 70s. I will look then up.

Just going to throw this out there… if you’re going to reload LOTS of ammo, especially pistol, get a progressive press. I can’t imagine how mind boggling slow and tedious it would be to load 9mm on a single stage press!
