The day started with expectations of good scores due to the flags hanging straight down. That feeling was maintained until the fifth shot of the first relay and things went downhill as the wind came up from the west dropped, reversed and came from the east. The wind was 8-12 mph with gusts to 17 mph accompanied with angle changes. Scores plummeted. A typical spring 1000 yard match in Reno.
