I suspect the wind kept a few shooters away. We still ended up with 22 shooters. We finally got Scotty to come out and play. It was good to have him out. I measured winds in excess of 20 mph, but everyone came prepared. We had scores in the 20s in every class. Not to say we didn’t see the wind gods kick some of our typically high scoring shooters to the wayside…it just happens.
We had a junior shooter do well enough that he placed third in the Marksman class… good job Calvin!
We tried another technique to help finish the matches before the heat of the day. We did not have any shoot offs. In the event of a tie, and we had two, we used the number of rabbits that each competitor shoot as a tie breaker. This helped to start on tear down, while the scores were tallied. We were able to run four men teams and still finish by 12:30.
Thanks to everyone for coming out given the conditions!
