Today we had 16 shooters present, 2 of whom shot two rifles for a total of 18 guns participating. Ray Marshall managed to shoot a better score UNMAGNIFED than he did with his MAGNIFIED SIGHT rifle!! The day was just slightly breezy and it did warm up, but we were all fine/cool under the shade of the range cover for most of the match. We were DONE by about 11:30 AM…everything put away and all awards handed out. DONE BY LUNCHTIME…YAY!! One of our participants suggested what I think is a good idea and I believe that starting next match we will extend the time allowed to 2 minutes and 30 seconds, but not allow extra time for alibis…..so if you have a malfunction, you will have to cure it/solve the problem inside the 2 minute 30 second period. Oh…and BTW, I said in last month’s results that Jerry Gomolka brought the “new Mercedes” model to use for a travelling trophy….I WAS WRONG!! Doyle Andres brought it….Jerry then WON it!! For this August match, Olin Coles won the travelling MERCEDES that goes to the overall match winner…don’t forget to bring it back next match, OLIN!!!
