29 SEP 2018 SMALLBORE SILHOUETTE RESULTS
The latest match in SEP 2018 had semi cool weather with some cloud cover so temps didn’t get too warm, though the wind did come up about 3/4 of the way through the match…..not really enough to blow bullets or shooters around, but it did make shooting somewhat more challenging that a calm day would have.Turnout for the match was 15 shooter, 4 of whom shot two guns for a total of 19 rifles being shot. One new/unclassified shooter attended and shot well enough to wind up being classified into the EXPERT classification for his next shoot. There were NO shoot-offs this month and we were easily done before lunchtime—YAY!! Amy Bieschel made a HUGE jump in classifications—HUGE progress!! I’d like to extend a “Thank You” to all the shooters that helped out with equipment set-up and tear-down and to say thanks to Mike Ceccerelli for his help running the match when I took a turn at shooting. I’m looking forward to seeing you all (and some of the “usual suspects” that didn’t show up to shoot with us today) next month and having another great shoot!!!!! And REMEMBER—the OCTOBER shoot is our last one scheduled for this year, so it will be followed immediately by a BBQ for all participants. This year one of our shooters has agreed to make pulled pork for us, so we will have pulled pork sandwiches accompanied by chips and sodas for all.My wife tells me that she just might get crazy and have some kind of a dessert for us, but I’m not holding my breath on that!!
